Godless Girl in her blog post
Asks the Question
Does the religion make the person or does the person make the religion?
Now she refers to a preacher, Jack Schapp, in the video who is spreading the hateful messages about women that are contained in the bible.
Her question is valid but I it misses a bit about what should be done.
If you care about your mothers, daughters and sisters you have to make this stop any way you can. You have to break the circle at as many points as possible.
Nasty religious ideas attract nasty people who spread the nasty ideas.
Commenting alone helps as it lets people know there are other choices. Having a voice alone is helping someone who isn’t able to speak for themselves. If you see injustice and don’t speak it is the same as giving consent.
I want people to think about what they are telling the world when they say they are a Christian, a Muslim or a Jew. Your books say horrible things about many people and you say those books are your moral compass.
But thank you Jack Schapp you and Wesboro Baptist are making more people question your religion than I ever could by simply pointing out what is in your gospel.
